Murder At The Pony Club, affectionately known by their fans as “the ponies,” constantly push the boundaries of the alternative rock scene. Drawing their inspiration from a myriad of 2000s rock influences, the ponies take cues from the powerful sounds and enchanting atmospheres of legendary bands such as Deftones, Queens Of The Stone Age, and Incubus.
Originating from Montpellier in the south of France, the band was formed in 2015 in the Victoire 2 premises. After a first album recorded at home and a revised lineup, five singles followed along with memorable encounters in regional studios.
In 2024, they released an EP titled « A Human Story » composed of six tracks, it’s a love letter to gritty rock, lightly sprinkled with reflections on humanity… as seen by four ponies.This musical diversity translates into a rich sound found in these new tracks: an exploration of human emotions conveyed through powerful vocals and catchy riffs, saturated bass lines, and drumming that resonates with the soul.
Fans will rediscover the raw, authentic stage energy of Murder At The Pony Club, brilliantly captured in a style reminiscent at times of the famous The Hives or Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes.
