Krack: Trap-Metal Fusion from Naples, Paris, and Aix en Provence
Krack is a dynamic trap-metal project formed in late 2021. Initially conceived as a side project to allow the singer to explore his hip-hop influences, the enthusiasm sparked by the early recordings led to the release of the first EP « Verbum Irae » in February 2023. With powerful singles like « Chaînes » and « Glock, » the EP resonated in 29 playlists, sparking passionate discussions about individual liberties, police violence, and LGBT+ inclusion.
The second EP, « Bakounine, » set for release on October 4, 2024, immerses listeners in a post-apocalyptic future marked by an anarchic libertarian revolution. Building on the success of « Verbum Irae, » this new EP delves into crucial social and political themes while pushing musical boundaries by fusing metal, rap, and drill. With 12 tracks ready, Krack amplifies its raw energy with even more impactful sounds and daring compositions, inviting listeners to fully immerse themselves in their unique sonic universe.
Krack is driven by its singer, who selects the instrumentals, writes the lyrics, and performs the songs. The team also includes Mathias as artistic advisor, @torpeur_beats as sound engineer/beatmaker, and @sebastienk_arts as video director. The instrumentals come from various beatmakers around the world, including France, the United States, Russia, Poland, Morocco, and Argentina.
Influences range from 90s nu-metal bands like Korn and Deftones to current trap-metal artists like Ghostemane and Scarlxrd, as well as dark-electro artists like Gesaffelstein. The lyrics tackle dark themes such as dependency, depression, libertine and BDSM relationships, the spiral of violence, and hypochondria. The singer is an openly LGBTQIA+ member, advocating an inclusive message.
Prepare for an immersive and stimulating musical experience with Krack’s second EP, « Bakounine. »
