Tom Waits meets Nine Inch Nails in true typical 90’s Alternative Industrial Rock fashion
I.S.I.8 is an alternative rock band from Clermont-Ferrand created in 2021 around a desire to produce a powerful sound using distortion, sampling, drum machines, keyboards, and acoustic instruments. Oscillating between relentless industrial sounds and melancholic contemplations, the group uses all its sonic arsenal to portray a dystopian and sinister landscape. Inspired by David Lynch, Trent Reznor and Tom Waits, the band releases its first concept album “The Convolution Anchor” in January 2025, dealing with themes of isolation, drug treatments and apathy as a catalyst for an eclectic and cathartic live experience.
