Herz Machine unveils its 5th studio album entitled NEW BLOOD, released on Friday May 30, 2025 on HFM Recordings.
With heart and soul, Herz Machine fuses the pulse of a post-punk attitude with the lyricism and punch of pop-rock, the perfect soundtrack for your cardio workout! 16 tracks that tackle important themes such as redemption, self-transcendence and the search for truth through the man/machine duality, while retaining the band’s unique sound : a powerful, rebellious, melodic and definitely modern rock, blending music elements of the past, such as classic rock, with their own current, instantly recognizable signature of ultra-creative songwriting and composition.
“Nothing lasts, what makes us free”, sums up the principle of mortality in a nutshell, and forms the common thread running through the whole album: a call to our resilience, to the fact that it’s always possible to start again, to reinvent ourselves, to be reborn like the phoenix, and to pierce the darkness by choosing the light. The Metal Rebel, the central figure in Herz Machine, making its first appearance on the original artwork by Jean-Philippe Gallay for the band’s 3rd eponymous album, is in its quest for mortality.
A machine that wants to become human again to be able to feel emotions, joy, pain. The rock solid black and white realistic artwork for this 5th album, drawn by Damsink, represents a man/machine heart that the Metal Rebel has transplanted in its metal carcass to feel closer and closer to the human.
