Our name is Far Away,
We’re 4 really good buddies who share, among other things, a love of music.
We self-produced our first album, Viaje, which was inspired by Flo’s travels through South America, and performed it on stage accompanied by images shot on site. Since then, we’ve never stopped using filmed images to support the writing of our music. We took advantage of this touring period to create the Far Away And Friends Festival, which enabled us to get all our friends to play live and give everyone the opportunity to share their music.
Then, the long isolating phase due to covid crisis was one of intense introspection and composition. During this period, we wrote the soundtrack for « Une Nuit en Antarctique » – a short documentary that won several awards at different festivals – and we composed our second album, « Solastalgia », which was recorded and mixed at Studio Komorebi. and mastered by Silver Cord Studio.
This album brings to light our common eco-anxiety and lets us convey and catharize our emotions through our songs, making our music sensitive, powerful and authentic. One of our uniquenesses is the diversity of our respective influences, leading to a rich and varied composition, between Meshuggah and Pink Floyd, Gojira and Der Weg einer Freiheit, She said destroy and Olafur Arnalds.
