COUNTRY : France
STYLE : Loud Rock
BIOGRAPHY : Critical Pint was born in 2017, when Tom Depoorter, Maxime Héraut, Thibaut Mazuir and Alex Palmier met with the consuming desire to produce a hoppy and energetic rock. Eager to travel the region’s stages, they started composing and playing their first dates. After having distilled their Loud Rock in the pubs of the Savoyard region, Critical Pint recorded their first EP « Just A Drop » in self-production and exported to structures such as the Brin de Zinc, the Brise-Glace, the Rock’n Eat and many festivals with more than 25 dates under their belt in 2019.
The release of their first single « Welcome to Hell » allowed them to be ranked in the TOP 5 of the France Metal Awards 2019, and gave them the impetus to produce a new track « Good Stuff » marking a turning point in their inspiration. After more than 45 live dates with artists such as Bukowski and High Reeper, and then the creation of their own festival, Critical Pint are now launched on the creation of their first album which will be released in 2023.
Critical Pint mixes 70’s Hard Rock with Stoner, Blues and Grunge sounds, influenced by bands like Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighter, Clutch, The Vintage Caravan and Rival Sons. Riffs infused with hops, a rhythmic pattern which is sometimes fine and velvety, sometimes sparkling and percussive with slightly bitter lyrics. This is Critical Pint’s recipe for Loud Rock!
