Areis (« to rise » in ancient Occitan) is a band from the Occitania region. Following their self-titled debut album, described as « a new worthwhile entry into the modern hardcore spectrum, » their second album, The Calling, will be released on March 21, 2025. Occult Occitan themes, a dark punk-hardcore style tinged with black metal—this is the formula with which the quartet takes their sound to an entirely new level with this upcoming release.
